From Captain to Advisor — Focused on Clarity and Results

I help leaders cut through complexity, find clarity, and drive aligned action. Not from theory — but from experience.
Where I Come From
Leadership is ultimately about judgment — and judgment is clearest when earned from experience.
Before advising founders and entrepreneurs, I captained airliners with lives in my hands and tight schedules to meet. Before that, I loaded luggage, fueled aircraft, and worked shifts few envied.
I’ve built my career from the ramp to the flight deck, from line employee to organizational leader. That journey taught me how complex systems work — and what happens when they don’t.
In critical moments, people don’t need slogans or buzzwords. They need clarity. They need direction. And they need candid, grounded advice.
That’s why I consult today.
A Path Through Complexity
- As an Airline Captain and Check Airman: Led teams in high-stakes environments, mentored peers, and navigated global aviation and cultural landscapes.
- As a Software Entrepreneur: Founded Flying Solo Software to solve real-world problems through data and automation.
- As a Partner in Starting Taiwan’s First Flight School: Helped launch Taiwan’s civilian flight training industry as part of a founding team, contributing to curriculum design and the success of the first graduates.
- As an Advisor and Organizational Leader: Guided companies through inflection points, helping owners find clarity and stability amidst complexity.
My guiding principle: The better the structure and purpose → the easier everything else becomes.
Purpose Comes Before Metrics
Numbers don’t lead — people do.
Without clear purpose, metrics are noise and growth is chaotic.
Define the destination → Build the structure → Align the team → Execute consistently.
This is how organizations move from firefighting to momentum.
